Last ditch effort

i have tried them all.  Now, I am kinda zoning low carbing dieting.  I know that the zone works and so does greatly restricting the white stuff of any sort (except cottage cheese).  The question is how do i get past the in your face food.  I went to a Kiwanis luncheon at a country club today.  Of course, they had no cal to low cal food.  And I did fine selecting my initial plate - veggies, fruit and tuna, but I couldn’t resist a bite of the carrot cake and the red velvet cake.  I didn’t get any of the key lime pie, the apple pie and lemon meringue, but I could have.   I guess a few bites and licks are good.  Will I ever be able to say no thank you to the desert table completely.  

 I did work out today, but after standing facing myself full on I almost walked out. I mean I always had hips, but I had a waist line. Now I am fast turning into an apple.  I am forty something. can I lose weight?  I read weight loss journals and articles in mags, but they are all twenty to thirty something.  I need help.   I want a miracle.  I don’t want it to take forever.  I can’t stand one day at a time.  I  don’t know what to do.  I kinda miserable.
